Spring Sports Update

With the football season coming to an end, and we head into our final term, it’s amazing to reflect on the successes we have had already in the 2024-25 academic year.

Both of our A teams (boys and girls) have finished the season undefeated. The girls have won 7 games and only drawn once. The boys won 6 games and drawn twice. The girls have automatically won their league, while the boys need to wait for remaining games to be played before knowing.

Our B teams haven’t had as many games but won their final games last week. Both teams came away with wins against Shawley’s B teams, with the boys scoring 3-0 and the girls 3-1.

As well as this, following our success at the North Downs District indoor athletics competition, where we finished 1st out of all the local schools, we were invited to the county finals. Twelve schools who each won the competition in their own district came together for one grand finale.

It was an absolute honour to finish 3rd place and become bronze medallists. The 3rd best athletics team in Surrey for 2025 is Banstead Community Junior School.
